E-commerce website for supplier of garden & playbarks, rubber chippings, decorative aggregates and other horticultural supplies.
This is a highly successful e-commerce site built for a client we have been working with for around 10 years, this is the 4th site we have built for them (2nd Drupal website). One of the key reasons for the upgrade was to be mobile-friendly, a must-have for any website these days. Playbark have seen steady sales growth due to a combination of a high quality site and the SEO & PPC work that we have undertaken.
The homepage features a content-managed slider linking through to promoted products and also a carousel showing featured products. Interchangeable blocks can be added to promote special or seasonal offers. Quantity calculators for a range of products ensure customers order the right amount! Products with multi-colour & multi-bag size options are all easily taken care of.
Complex shipping rules mean different regions such as Northern Scotland have different P&P costs. Next day shipping cuts off after 10am and customers can even choose their delivery day.
Account customers can have an individual discount assigned to them which means they see their own personal price when viewing products.
The site has integrated reviews and also an online chat facility.
Playbark use our email newsletter system to send out regular updates and offers. We also look after some of the site content on behalf of the client.
Playbark brand redesign. We've been working with Playbark since about 2004 and have recently helped them re-model their brand with the PlayBark logo.
Playbark are the dominant brand in their area with a strong, memorable brand identity and a polished e-commerce website.
As part of their marketing strategy, PlayBark sends out regular newsletters. Offers and discount codes prove particularly successful - and are easy to set up and integrate with the e-commerce system.
PlayBark wanted to create a mini-site within the main PlayBark site bringing together all the content for a new product range in one place.
Using Drupal web development techniques gives us the flexibility to build anything our customers want.
The micro-site also had to work well on mobile devices and tablets - particularly how users can navigate the section without being confused by too many menu options.
